Mambu, the market-leading cloud banking platform, has partnered with Currencycloud, the leader in providing embedded B2B cross-border solutions, to offer increased transparency and scalability of international payments to their platform clients.
This partnership brings together two like-minded organisations to deliver out-of-the-box banking capabilities. By integrating Mambu’s true SaaS banking platform with Currencycloud’s suite of APIs, customers are able to rapidly deploy flexible, enterprise-class collections, virtual accounts, payments and FX services.
Financial services clients will be able to control their customers’ end-to-end journey and offer full control over pricing and margin management. Currencycloud and Mambu, who share a similar vision of the future of banking, will offer pre-configured solutions that further increase speed to market, control and flexibility. The broad range of solutions includes both account-to-account collections and payments as well as card spend capabilities.
Stephen Lemon, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Co-Founder, Currencycloud comments: “This partnership between Currencycloud and Mambu really makes sense, we are both trying to help eliminate challenges for the same customers and provide them with banking-in-a-box capabilities. It is an exciting partnership as we develop our offering and continue to innovate together.”
Ben Goldin, Mambu CTO/CPO, comments: “We are really excited to be working with Currencycloud, to be able to offer our customers pre-configured solutions that will further increase their competitive advantage and bring that transparency to international payments. We look forward to the partnership evolving.”
This integration is already available for Mambu customers to utilise. Currencycloud and Mambu intend to further innovate and develop their offering.
Currencycloud’s technology is unlocking the global economy for payment platforms of the future. Today, Currencycloud has 85 different APIs across four modules – collect, convert, pay and manage – that cover the entire workflow in B2B cross-border payments. The as-a-service platform is proprietary and is fully cloud-based on AWS using Restful APIs. Launched in 2012, Currencycloud is based in London and is regulated in Europe, the U.S. and Canada, and has processed more than $50bn to over 180 countries. Currencycloud works with banks and Fintechs globally including Starling Bank, Standard Bank South Africa and Brookline Bank, as well as partnering with Visa to deliver innovation in travel payments.
Mambu was launched in 2011 with the vision to enable access to modern financial services for all. We make this possible by providing a modern cloud-native banking platform that not only competes with core products from traditional players but changes the market through our composable banking approach. We’re bringing SaaS to banking at a time when it’s needed the most. Our customers range from top tier banks like ABN AMRO and Santander, to leading venture-backed fintechs like N26 and OakNorth to telcos like Globe Telecom. We enable them to build a modern banking or lending offering, in the cloud, by composing a best-for-purpose solution for their needs which is an order of magnitude more agile and cost-effective than the legacy approach to core banking. As a result, we’re taking on the $250B market of banking technology worldwide. We’re currently a team of over 250 people spread between our main offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Singapore, London, Iași (Romania), Miami, Sydney and Vilnius servicing over 160 customers with over 20M end users in over 60 countries. We’ve raised over €42M to date with the latest round led by Bessemer Venture Capital in SF.
